Who is a Connector?
Somebody with a relationship to a business (Executive, employee, advisor, board member, partner, customer, etc.) who agrees to make warm introductions to Target Prospects on its behalf.
Who is eligible to be a Connector?
Account Admins can invite unlimited Connectors to their SmallWorld account. Common categories include:
- Advisor
- Board Member
- Customer
- Employee (Non-Executive)
- Employee (Executive)
- Former Employee
- Friend Of Employee
- Investor
- Other
- Partner
- Spouse Of Employee
- Super Connector (External network curated by SmallWorld)
How are Connectors incentivized to make warm introductions?
Most eligible Connectors either already have a built-in incentive from the Company for making introductions (e.g., referral fees, etc.) or have intrinsic motivation to help the company grow through new business. We work closely with SmallWorld customers to determine the right incentives for each type of Connector so there is ample reason for them to actively participate.
The incentives for being a Connector may be direct (employee bonuses, referral agreements) or indirect (desire to help the business, obligation). In addition to any compensation handled outside the platform, SmallWorld has an incentive module to send Connectors gestures of appreciation (gift cards, experiences, etc).
